Meet the Founder
Leeya Rose Jackson is an interdisciplinary artist, designer, and cultural storyteller from Detroit, and based in Minneapolis, MN. With a background in visual art, film, and community-centered design, her work explores the intersection of identity, memory, and environment through bold, emotionally resonant pattern and surface design.
Leeya founded Loud Pigmnt, a design studio and textile brand that brings vibrant, culturally elegant patterns to life across wallpapers, home goods, and custom art. Inspired by her upbringing, diasporic visual language, and a deep love for color as healing, Loud Pigmnt is both a celebration and an offering; reclaiming space, joy, and interior worlds.
Her work has been exhibited in galleries and museums, featured in print, and commissioned by institutions across the country. Through Loud Pigmnt, she is building a new archive: one that fuses nature, maximalism, Black imagination, and contemporary storytelling into surfaces that speak.
Learn about our services
-
At Loud Pigmnt, we offer a vibrant library of original patterns and colorways designed to bring bold, artful energy into interiors. Our initial offerings include thoughtfully crafted surface designs available in multiple palettes; ready to be applied across wallpapers, textiles, and home goods. Each pattern is inspired by cultural memory, emotional resonance, and an unapologetic love for color.
-
For clients seeking something more tailored, we offer customizations on existing designs or the creation of completely bespoke patterns. Whether you're a designer looking to align with a specific palette or a creative director in need of a concept-driven print, we work closely with you to adapt, remix, or originate a pattern that tells your story. This collaborative process ensures your space or product feels truly one-of-a-kind.
-
Looking ahead, we’re excited to launch Phase Two in 2026: an exclusive line of hand-printed wallpapers and fabrics using traditional block printing techniques. These tactile, slow-crafted offerings will combine old-world craftsmanship with contemporary pattern design; pushing the artistry of Loud Pigmnt into new, textural territory. It’s a deeper exploration of surface and spirit — and we can’t wait to bring it to life.
